ratiopharm Ulm wins first semi-final at Alba Berlin – SWR Sport

Away win at the reigning German basketball champions: ratiopharm Ulm has started the playoff semifinal series of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) with a success.

The team of coach Jaka Lakovic prevailed against the defending champions with 73:71 (34:37) and took the 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series. The best player of the game was Dylan Osetkowski from Ulm with 21 points and eleven rebounds.

“We actually had the game in our hands, but then let it slip away,” said Berlin’s Nils Giffey, who scored nine points: “Ulm chose very good plays in the end.”

Long dry spell is coming to an end

There was no other team in the league that Ulm had waited for a win as long as it did against Alba. After eleven defeats in a row, the long-awaited success was achieved. The second home game on Tuesday will be played in front of around 1,000 spectators.
