Puebla defeats Querétaro 1-0 in its first victory in the 2021 Apertura of Mexican football

Puebla achieved its first victory in the Apertura-2021 tournament of Mexican soccer this Friday by beating Querétaro 1-0 in a match of the seventh day played at the Cuauhtémoc stadium.

It was in the 56th minute when the only goal of the match fell. Guillermo Martínez leaked a ball to Daniel Álvarez who calmly signed the 1-0 against Uruguayan goalkeeper Washington Aguerre.

Thus, Puebla reached six points and Querétaro was left with three units.

At the Caliente stadium, the ‘Xoloitzcuintles’ of Tijuana drew 2-2 with the ‘Rayados’ of Monterrey.

Argentine Rogelio Funes Mori made it 1-0 for Monterrey with a shot from the front line of the area at minute 18.

The 2-0 was signed by Carlos Rodríguez with a shot pumped from outside the area that covered goalkeeper Jonathan Orozco even when he was standing inside the small area.

With this tie, Monterrey reached 11 points and Tijuana three points.

Vladimir Loroña approached Tijuana with the 2-1 to 39 through a shot inside the small area that hit the crossbar and then stung inside the goal, although later he left the goal.

Colombian Mauro Manotas sentenced the final 2-2 with a shot from the edge of the area.

With this tie, Monterrey reached 11 points and Tijuana three points.

Before, with a goal in compensation time, Atlético San Luis rescued the 2-2 draw with Mazatlán in a match played at the Mazatlán stadium.

Argentina’s Germán Berterame scored 1-0 for Atlético with a penalty taken in the 39th minute with a touch to the lower left corner, impossible for Uruguayan goalkeeper Nicolás Vikonis to reach despite guessing the trajectory of the ball.

The 1-1 of the ‘Cañoneros’ of Mazatlán was scored by Oliveira at 45 + 6, also from a penalty, with a low touch and to the left of the Argentine goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero who launched himself to the opposite side.

The 2-1 for Mazatlán was also marked by Oliveira at 89 with a right-footed shot inside the area.

The 90 + 6 was played when the Argentine Andrés Vombergar appeared in the small area with a shot from point-blank range for the final 2-2.
