President of Galatasaray announces the end of Falcao in the club

The President of Galatasaray met with Radamel Falcao García and Sofiane Feghouli to inform them that they must look for equipment because there is no way to pay their high salaries, even though they still have contracts in force. The decision that the Colombian does not continue is directly made by the administration that has already informed Fatih Terim not to include him in its plans. The manager spoke to the press after his participation in the Referees Seminar for the 21/22 season.

“I spoke with Falcao and Feghouli. They had a contract, but I told them that it was not possible for us to pay those fees, that they had to find a club for them”, were the declarations of the president of Galatasaray this Monday regarding the future of the Colombian forward who barely played the addition in the first leg of the Champions League elimination against PSV.

Galatasaray is in a stage of economic restructuring with the arrival of the new leader that at the sporting level he understood that he must reduce the cost of the workforce and the 35-year-old Colombian along with the 31-year-old Algerian are two of those who charge the most. Falcao in the previous administration under Mustafa Cengiz had managed to reach an agreement to reduce his salary and be able to continue fulfilling his contract.

For Elmas, pay 4 million euros a year, a current figure that would be agreed with the Colombian, It is not a salary that they can take care of and that is why it was clear with the player so that together with his agent they look for a new direction. The forward had arrived in Turkey in mid-2019 where he signed a 3-year contract.

Injuries (8) complicated Falcao’s performance in these two years in Turkey in which he played 41 games, missed more than 40 commitments and scored 20 goals. Although his goal average is average, physical problems prevented him from performing much better. For now, he will continue to fulfill his contract until an offer arrives, Terim recently warned that to date there is nothing official for the Colombian.
