The South Moravian police detained two men who disrupted the Brno football derby of the 5th round of the second league between Líšní and Zbrojovka on Sunday. Police are now evaluating records and conducting interrogations. Police spokesman David Chaloupka told ČTK.

At 1 – 1, several Zbrojovka fans stormed the pitch. One of them kicked the organizer. The home forward Jan Silný went to his aid and grabbed the aggressor around his neck. He then clenched his fist. Referee Radek Dubravský expelled Silný for his rude unsportsmanlike conduct. Thanks to Jakub Řezníček, Brno used the power play and won 2: 1.

“The police have detained two men. A decision on legal qualification will be made in the near future. We have to evaluate the records of the match, conduct interrogations. We evaluate what they have committed. , “said Chaloupka.

Zbrojovka condemned the behavior of its supporters. “We do not approve today’s incident and we do not agree with similar behavior, which does not belong to stadiums. As a guest club, we are currently waiting for the results of the League Football Association and the Czech Police, after evaluating these investigations.

The Disciplinary Committee of the League Football Association stated on Monday that it will also deal with events in the Brno derby. The responsibility of both clubs and the actions of Jan Silný will be addressed.

According to the disciplinary rules of the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FACR), a person who, in connection with a match, physically assaulted an opponent, teammate, coach or other person, is banned from operating for up to two months or fined up to CZK 25,000.

However, if the LFA disciplinary commission found that Silný had committed a more serious offense, he would be in danger of being banned from working for up to six months, or even a fine of up to CZK 50,000.

The verdict should fall at the next commission meeting, which will take place on Thursday.
