Pedro Martínez wins and advances to the final in Kitzbühel

The Spanish tennis player Pedro Martínez beat German Daniel Altmaier in three sets (4-6, 6-3 and 6-3), and qualified for the ATP 250 final in Kitzbühel (Austria), after two hours and 28 minutes. The Valencian, 24 years old and currently 97 in the world rankings, gave up the first set after suffering a break in his serve in the seventh game, but he knew how to react with a resounding 5-0 in the second, which later, despite seeing how his rival discounted a loss of the serve, it would lead him to take it and, with it, force the final third set.

In the third set, after 2-2, two breaks of the German’s serve in the fifth and ninth game, gave him the victory and the move to a final that will be his first final on the circuit. His rival will be the Norwegian Casper Ruud, who beat the French Arthur Rinderknech.
