Arriving in Japan to get serious, judokate Cherine Abdellaoui had a very clean fight this Friday in the quarterfinals, in the under 52 kg category at the Tokyo Paralympic Games. The Algerian did not do things halfway against Nataliya Nikolaychyk.

On the Nippon Budokan dojo this Friday, August 27, Cherine Abdellaoui easily climbed to the semi-final in the under 52 kg category. The 22-year-old Algerian judokate emerged clearly victorious from her quarter-final which saw her oppose the Ukrainian Nataliya Nikolaychyk. She dominated the latter 10-0 by Ippon Yoko-shiho-gatame (ground control technique).

It was in four minutes that Cherine Abdellaoui won her ticket for the semi-finals. She continues her path to gold, which is her one and only goal. In 2016, at the Paralympic Games in Rio, she finished a bronze medalist in the under 52 kg category at the age of 18.
