Osnabrück – Bremen 2-0
Bundesliga relegated Werder Bremen has embarrassed itself at the Bremer Brücke: In the second division relegated VfL Osnabrück, the Hanseatic League lost 2-0 (0-1) in the first round of the DFB Cup. Maurice Trapp (44th) headed the hosts to make it 1-0, with a shot from the center line Sven Köhler (90th + 4) made the decision. Werder hit aluminum three times, Nicolai Rapp was unlucky twice. Osnabrück demanded everything from the Bremen team, especially when it comes to standards, the home side were always dangerous and embarrassed the Werder team.
