Couples from Galarza, Villa Paranacito, Larroque, Pronunciamiento and Gualeguaychú played the tournament, with a high level of play and highly balanced matches, both in the group stage that was played on Saturday and in the final draw on Sunday.
Finally, the Villa Paranacito couple made up of Gastón Olalde and Pablo Taborda won the title by beating Pablo Piñal and Leo Rodríguez de Galarza in the final by a tight 4-6, 6-3 and 11-9. In the semifinals, Olalde and Taborda defeated Leandro Gómez and Marcelo Cepeda by 1-6, 6-3 and 11-5, while in the quarterfinals they had beaten Frías – Likay also from Villa Paranacito by 6-3, 0-6 and 11-9 and in the second round they beat Matías Altamirano and Yair Silveyra by 6-1 and 6-1.
Meanwhile, Piñal and Rodríguez reached the final by beating Gustavo Sosa and Cristian Vega by 6-2 and 6-4 in the semifinals, while in the quarterfinals they beat Gastón Álvarez and Joaquín Macchi by 7-5 and 6-1.
For next weekend a new Seventh Category date is announced, in which the presence of several couples from different parts of the province is expected, closing the registration on Thursday night.
