Inter Milan finally inaugurated the recruitment of Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven to replace Achraf Hakimi’s role on the right wing back.
INDOSPORT.COM – Inter Milan have finally confirmed the arrival of their fifth new player from this summer’s transfer window. On Sunday (15/08/2021) The Nerazzurri confirmed that Denzel Dumfries was legally their retainer.
Dumfries signed from PSV Eindhoven for a transfer fee that was not announced by Inter. However, the mainstay fullback of the Dutch national team is predicted to have a price of around 12.5 million Euros or more than 200 billion Rupiah.
The inauguration of the Dumfries transfer itself was only a few minutes away from Edin Dzeko. Uniquely, the second name has actually been involved in Inter’s test match against Dynamo Kiev which was held on the same day.
Previously also a target from Everton, Dumfries was tied to a contract valid until June 2025. It is not yet known what number he will wear at the Giuseppe Meazza later.
The plan is for the 25-year-old player to become the new mainstay on the right side of the defense with Matteo Darmian as a coating. Of course this was needed by Inter after being forced to release Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain due to the financial problems they were facing.
Before officially getting Dumfries’ signature, Inter were also linked with Hector Bellerin. The Arsenal full-back is at the same age as Dumfries but has been rumored to have been dropped because he was twice as expensive.
