From 1 to 3 September Opatija (in Croatian Opatija, near Rijeka) will host the Liburnia Cup, a basketball tournament that will bring together the illustrious names of the European basketball scene.
L’Olympia Cedevita will address the Carpegna Pesaro Ham Wednesday 1 September at 17:00 in the Sala Marino Cvetković, while the match between Cibona Zagabria e Partizan Belgrade.
The final is scheduled for Friday at 20:00, the match for third place will be played from 17:00. Thursday is a day of rest, although it will offer a real basketball delight to all basketball fans.
At 4.00 pm, in the Marino Cvetković Hall, a seminar for coaches will begin, a lesson that will not only be aimed at basketball coaches and staff, but will be open to all those who want to hear what they have to say about basketball Vlado Jovanović (Cibona), Jurica Golemac (Cedevita Olimpija), Aleksandar Petrovic (Carpegna Prosciutto) e Zeljko Obradovic (Partizan).
Jovanović will hold his lecture from 16:00, Jurica Golemac is scheduled for 16:45, Aleksandar Petrović will take the stage at 17:30, 45 minutes are reserved for Željko Obradović from 18:15.
As it is extremely rare to attend an Obradović conference, this is a unique opportunity for all basketball fans, one of the best coaches of today who has won the European title nine times.
He did so for the first time in 1992, when he started leading the Partizan team, to which he returned this season at the age of 61. In addition to Partizan, Obradovic was European champion with Joventut, Real Madrid, five times with Panathinaikos and once with Fenerbahče.
