The third official day of competition of the Archery World Youth Championships 2021 it went to the archives in Wroclaw (in Poland) without great satisfaction for the blue colors, when there is still only one day of preliminary heats reserved for traditional team tests (the trio) before the weekend finals.
Unfortunately, Italy has not been able to access the finals on Saturday and Sunday with no athlete so far, but important cards remain available to be exploited tomorrow with the various trio. In the female junior recurvo Roberta Di Francesco however she performed well, reaching the quarter-finals of the individual competition before giving way clearly (0-6) to the strong American Casey Kaufhold.
Nothing to do for medals even among the cadets: Francesco Poerio Piterà he became the protagonist of a good journey, entering the quarter-finals and then paying duty with the Danish Ludvig Njor Henriksen (4-6). Good individual performance for women also for Ginevra Landi, defeated in the quarterfinals 1-7 by the French favorite Caroline Lopez (first seed of the seeding).
Landi and Poerio Piterà then competed together, representing Italy in the mixed pair test of the recurve cadets. The tricolor duo, after beating Poland in the round of 16 for 5-3, had to surrender to Japan with a score of 3-5, effectively exiting the race for the podium.
