Nevertheless, the fight for the crown of the African title promises to be tough for the regulars of the competition in particular, Mauritius, Egypt and South Africa, who are candidates to be taken seriously. Zambia, after his absence in 2019 is back in competition with a good young and above all very seasoned team. Ghana and Benin respectively, 6e and 7e of the 2019 meeting have the necessary assets to win a medal in the competition. The Niger team, an outsider, can however create a surprise. With the work focused on schools in Niger, anything is possible in this badminton youth competition in Africa. Finally, Senegal, one of the last member countries does not want to be told about the event. The Lions of Térranga make their entry for the first time in an international competition with an Olympic team for whom the goal remains the Youth Olympic Games, Senegal 2026.

“Sleep and already, we wish a good competition to all the participants and that these championships remain memorable in the hearts of all the participating countries”, wishes a member of the Beninese Badminton Federation who reassures that everything is ready for success of the event.
