Raphaël Varane can now officially call himself a Manchester United player. The English superpower has officially completed the transfer today.
That Raphaël Varane would make the crossing from Real Madrid to Man.United is not big news.
Both sides had been making love to each other for months. However, it took until today before all parties involved could agree to an official agreement.
With Varane, United are bringing in a 28-year-old top defender. The 79-times French international and 2018 world champion won 4 Champions Leagues and 3 Spanish titles with Real Madrid. Before that, Varane played for Lens.
The transfer would cost about 40 million euros. A few minutes before his opening match in the Premiership against Leeds, Man.United announced the happy news. Varane took the field and was warmly welcomed by the fans.
