Fully vaccinated players will undergo testing for COVID-19 on a weekly basis rather than every 14 days, under revised season protocols agreed to by the NFL and the Players’ Association.

Weekly testing also applies to fully immunized level 1 and 2 personnel. There is an option for a second test for those who wish, according to a note sent to teams and obtained by The Associated Press on Monday.

Fully vaccinated people do not need to wait for results before entering a team’s facilities. Each club must carry out its tests over a period of three days.

Unvaccinated players will continue to be tested daily.

Each travel group of a team with no players will be reduced to a maximum of 75 people. Masks must be worn while traveling, food consumption “must be kept to a minimum” and seats will be allocated.

In addition, public transport is prohibited for all members of the traveling party and unvaccinated players or staff cannot use private transport.

Last week, the NFL said 93 percent of players have been vaccinated.
