NEW YORK – New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor has had his name taken off the injured list and will be in training on Tuesday night against the San Francisco Giants.

Lindor missed five weeks due to strained right obliques.

The manager of the Mets, Luis Rojas, confirmed the return to the game of his inter-star in the afternoon.

Lindor ran into trouble early in the season, following his acquisition from the Cleveland Indians and after signing a 10-year, US $ 341 million contract. He only maintained a .228 average with 11 home runs and an attendance / power average of .702.

His name was put on the wounded list on July 17. He had better batting days, averaging .288 with three homers and an .875 ERA in his last 20 games.
