Michael Jordan: “I’m cursed, I say it all the time to my wife”

Michael Jordan leads a unique life… He is not only at the head of a footwear empire thanks to his collaboration with Nike, but he is also the boss of a popular NBA franchise: the Hornets. Despite everything, it is considered like cursed for some special reason!

Michael Jordan is he settling down and opening up to the world? It is very probable! Because for a while, the legend of the Bulls was not the most talkative player in the media … Whether it was during his long and glorious playing career or in his role as owner of the Hornets, MJ often let his actions speak for him.

But sometimes, for exceptional occasions, he does not hesitate to open his heart and express himself at length. This was for example the case in the incredible documentary The Last Dance, during which he returned without taboo on his career and more particularly on his last years in Chicago, not hesitating to offend some teammates so Scottie Pippen, who had very harsh words afterwards.

And n ° 23 did it again recently… Due to the health crisis which has been slowing the world for more than a year now, the teams of TLD were unable to travel to Australia to collect the testimony of Luke Longley, an important member of the Bulls dynasty. So to fill this void, Australian television has decided to devote a long documentary to him, in which Michael Jordan intervenes. He mentions in particular his difficult return to normal …

Much of my worries in retirement came from my competitive spirit. I was such a great competitor that I felt the need every day to be better than my opponent… And in normal life it is impossible to break this armor that we build with our work ethic. We have to find a way to get around this armor …

But it is very difficult. I look at all things in life with my competitive eye. I’m cursed, I say it to my wife all the time, in the sense that I can’t watch something, I can’t participate, if it’s not a competition. But now my challenge is to calm my nervousness. This is the reason why I fish more often.

Almost 20 years after his last retirement, Michael Jordan still feels the need to dominate his opponents in all walks of life. It is an approach that is as useful on the grounds as it is handicapping outside, since he has to refuse a good number of activities… This is the price to pay for the title of GOAT…

Michael Jordan would therefore be affected by the curse of the competitor… A very bad news for his youngest Ysabel, who does not have to win often when playing with her father!
