The Council of Marin (Pontevedra) works to organize a new edition of the Municipal Sports Schools. This activity allows almost a thousand boys and girls from the municipality between 5 and 14 years old to practice “their favorite sport” and discover new modalities.
The city council resumes the schools after more than a year with complications to organize sporting events due to the pandemic. It is planned, however, that the program will be presented on September 10 for the next course in different areas of the town.
The catalog will maintain its varied character with different sports: athletics, basketball, boxing, tennis, soccer, futsal, cycling / mountain biking, canoeing, sailing, judo, swimming, skating, rowing, taekwondo, chess, rhythmic, artistic and acrobatic gymnastics; triathlon, pilates, hip hop, water polo, badminton and table tennis. All activities will take place between the different municipal facilities, those of the schools with an agreement and in the premises of the entities that host the program.
Citizens will be able to know in the next few days the details to make the registration. The city council advances, however, that maintains the annual fee of 50 euros and indicates that the Municipal Sports Schools will start on October 4 with the progressive incorporation of each modality.
