defender Manchester City Benjamin mendy has been charged by Cheshire Police with four counts of rape and one count of sexual harassment.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the events are believed to have occurred in Cheshire in October 2020 and August 2021.
Three victims aged over 16 are reported to have made a report to the local police.
“Mendy, from Withinlee Road, Prestbury, has been held in police custody and will stand trial at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday 27 August 2021,” CPS said in a statement. CNN.

“In relation to this matter we are subject to legal process and therefore the club cannot provide further comment until the investigation is complete,” Man City said in a statement.
