LV Summer League: Chimezie Metu of the Kings disqualified one match

The great wing / center of the Sacramento Kings Chimezie Metu was disqualified for a match of the NBA Summer League for hitting the Dallas Mavericks winger in the head Eugene Omoruyi, was announced today by Byron Spruell, President of League Operations.

The incident, for which Metu was assessed a technical foul and sent off, began when Omoruyi pushed Metu while in flight, an action for which Omoruyi was whistled a Flagrant Foul 2 and consequently kicked off the field .

The incident occurred with 3:03 remaining in the final quarter of the Kings 86-70 win over the Mavericks on August 15 at the COX Pavilion during the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Here the video.

Metu will serve his disqualification on Tuesday 17 August when the Kings face the Boston Celtics al Thomas & Mack Center.
