Bulgarian modern gymnasts won gold in the all-around teams at the Tokyo Games and ended the 21-year domination of the Russian national team, who had to settle for second place. Italy has bronze.

Russia has dominated team and individual competitions in modern gymnastics since the Sydney Games in 2000, but in Japan it lost both winning series. Linoy Ashram from Israel took care of it on Saturday and today she was imitated by the Bulgarians.

Simona Djankovová, Stefani Kirjakovová, Madlen Radukanovová, Laura Trajecová and Erika Zafirovová won the first all-around gold in Bulgaria with a performance of 92,100 points. Until now, the Bulgarians had one silver and two bronzes.
