Tetraplegic Kisý, who was fourth in Beijing in 2008 and London 2012, reached 8.25 meters in bronze thanks to a personal record. Elvin Astanov from Azerbaijan won the Paralympic record of 8.77.

“Great, it’s finally there. Being twice fourth is hell. Everyone made fun of me, I was Mr. Potato. If anyone asked me about this, I’d hit those people sometimes, but holt it’s there and Mr. Potato it ends, I hope, “Kisý said with a smile to Czech Television.

Kisý, who has been paralyzed since 1999 after a head-to-head jump, followed on from Saturday’s silver medal of archers David Drahonínský and Šárka Musilová in a mixed doubles competition.
