Kevin Kisner rises as champion in Greensboro

GREENSBORO.

The american Kevin Kisner, winless in five previous tiebreaks in the PGA Tour of the United States, birdied the second extra hole on Sunday to win a six-player playoff and Get the Greensboro Tournament Title (North Carolina).

Kisner scored his fourth career PGA win and the first since the 2019 Match Play World Cup.

It’s a crazy way to break the playoff winless streak, but it was an incredible week, “Kisner said.

Kisner, world number 52, he birdied four of the first six holes and added birdies on 16 and 17 to finish with a card with 66 shots, four under par and a total of 265 (-15), to reach the tiebreaker.

Kisner’s winning birdie was, according to the player himself, “one of those putts you dream of”.

Kisner added that “Every time you win (on the Tour) it’s difficult and you never know when it will happen again, so you have to value everything”.
