Juventus Groups with Chelsea in the Champions League, Here’s Pavel Nedved’s Reaction: Okezone Bola

TURIN – Juventus Vice President, Pavel Nedved, commented on the draw or draw for the 2021-2022 Champions League group stage. For him, all groups display a balanced competition, including in Group H which is filled by Juventus.

As is known, the draw for the 2021-2022 Champions League group stage has been held. As a result, the Biaconeri-Juventus-nickname- joined in Group H with Chelsea, Zenit St Petersburg, and Malmo.

You could say, Juventus’ toughest opponent is Chelsea. Because the Blues-Chelsea’s nickname- is the defending champion of the Champions League.

Even so, Nedved assesses that this year all groups are balanced. Nedved also asked Juventus players not to underestimate their opponents in the group stage later.

“This year there are many balanced groups, including us. We know the strength of Chelsea, but Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo are also two very good teams,” said Nedved, quoted from the official Juventus website, Friday (27/8/2021).

“Obviously, our goal is to qualify and enter the knockout phase, without underestimating any opponent,” he continued.

On the other hand, Nedved revealed that the return of Massimiliano Allegri with Juventus could have a positive impact. He also believes the Bianconeri can achieve good results in the 2021-2022 Champions League.

“Allegri’s return to Juventus signals that a new project has begun, and we believe he is the right coach to undertake it,” he said.

Chelsea players

“We have great faith in our team and we believe that enthusiasm will play a fundamental role in the first game of the group,” continued Nedved.

So far, Juventus has only played one game in the 2021-2022 season. In the first week of the 2021-2022 Italian League, Juventus had to settle for being held to a draw by Udinese with a score of 2-2.

In the midst of Juventus’ conditions that did not appear to be working optimally, the team had to break its focus on player transfers. Because, they are reportedly in danger of losing their star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, at the end of the 2021 summer transfer market.
