Jonathan Borlée, hamstring injury, forfeit the men’s 4x400m final

Borlée, 33, was injured in the last meters of the men’s 4×400 series on Friday. Kevin’s twin, already hampered by his Achilles tendon, finished the race holding the back of his thigh.

“Jonathan Borlée suffers from a strained hamstring grade 2,” said the COIB. “He will be absent for a period of three weeks and will therefore be forfeited for the final of the 4x400m relay.” The men’s 4x400m relay final is scheduled for Saturday at 2:50 p.m. in Belgium.
