Jon Rahm confirms his participation in the Estrella Damm Andaluca Masters

El Spanish golfer Jon Rahm, number one in the world and champion of the US Open, has announced this Tuesday its participation in the next tournament Estrella Damm Andaluca Masters, which will be disputed in the field of Real Club Valderrama, on San Roque (Cdiz), next October.

The 26-year-old Basque player plans to return to a tournament that will take place from October 14 to 17 in the town of San Roque and in which he already participated in 2019, the organization reported in a statement.

Rahm has achieved two of his seven victories in the European Circuit on Spanish soil, so now he wants to try to win in one of the most famous fields in Europe, which has hosted, among other tournaments, the Ryder Cup.

In its last appearance in Valderrama, Rahm finished second after the South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

“I have unfinished business at Valderrama, of course,” Rahm said in reference to his runner-up two years ago.

“Whenever I play in my country or at home I enjoy it a lot. The Spanish fans are very special to me and I look forward to seeing them on the golf course again,” he added in the official statement of the tournament.

A career marked by success

Since turning pro in 2017, Rahm has accumulated 12 victories in the European Tour and the PGA Tour, among which are his triumph last July in the US Open disputed in Torrey Pines and its four titles in the Rolex Series.
