Italy in third place, beat Great Britain – OA Sport

Italy secures third place in the Under 23 European Baseball Championships, beating Great Britain again with a score of 8-1. In San Martino Buon Albergo, therefore, Alberto D’Auria’s path of the blues ends in a positive way, even if the goal was that of the major final.

It starts from where the same match in the group ended, and that is from the Italian advantage. This time it is the base stolen by Astorri to break the deadlock in the second inning; Monello and Astorri again increase the dose with two single-points in the third, and in the fourth comes the solo with three singles and Gamberini who, despite being caught in a double game, brings Flisi to close the round of the diamond.

Isdale finds the 7-1 point on a crazy pitch in the fifth round, but to reiterate the question we think the sprint of sacrifice of Astorri that sends home Monti for the final 8-1, and therefore the third Italian place.

It was for the Azzurri the first participation in this continental review. The best of the match remains Mattia Aldegheri: the Parmaclima pitcher closes with 9 strikeouts.
