On the occasion of the second day of Serie A, Inter Milan overthrew Hellas Verona (3-1) on Friday. On a huge blunder by Handanovic, the reigning Italian champion nevertheless conceded the opening scoring by Ilic (15th). Dominators thereafter, the Milanese pushed and managed to equalize by Martinez (47th) before a saving double signed by the new recruit, Correa (83rd, 90 + 4th).
Thanks to this second success, Inter climbed temporarily to first place in the standings.
