Inter and Lazio are negotiating the transfer of Joaquin Correa

Empoli

Inter Milan is still moving in the transfer market to bring in forwards. This time Lazio striker Joaquin Correa is being approached by the Nerrazzurri.

It is not without reason that Inter are chasing several attackers considering that they have released their top scorer and mainstay player, Romelu Lukaku, to Chelsea with a price tag of 115 million euros.

Inter, who won the Italian league last season, inevitably had to do this because of the financial crisis they were experiencing. Besides Lukaku, there is also Achraf Hakimi who was released to Paris Saint-Germain with a tag of 70 million euros.

This financial problem also started Antonio Conte’s departure from the coaching chair. Inter are now starting the new season with new coach Simone Inzaghi and have made several signings such as Denzel Dumfries, Hakan Calhanoglu and Edin Dzeko.

However, Lukaku’s departure still has to be patched up again so Inter are planning to bring in two front players. One of his targets is Lazio’s Joaquin Correa.

Inter’s interest seems to have made Correa reluctant to defend Lazio in the first week of Serie A. Correa was not included in the squad when the Biancocelesti won 3-1 over Empoli, Sunday (22/8/2021) early morning WIB.

Correa just watched from the stands of the Stadio Castellani as Inter and Lazio were working on his move. Correa is reportedly priced at 30 million euros, but Inter are trying to lower his price to 20 million euros.

Lazio actually received another offer from Everton, but Joaquin Correa apparently still wants to stay in Italy and strengthen Inter Milan.

“We know Correa wants to leave Lazio. There is a possibility he will move to Inter, we’ll see,” said Lazio director Igli Tare. Sky Sport Italy.

“He’s a very important player for us, he knows that. It doesn’t all depend on us, but Inter too. Not only Inter, there are also teams from outside Italy. But players want to stay in Italy,” he continued.

“Negotiations with Inter are always tough, both parties want certainty, but the process is not easy. Agents are working hard, we’ll see what happens. Most importantly whoever stays, should be proud to wear the Lazio jersey.”
