Panic on the beach Portonovo, in Ancona: a South American showed up with a baseball bat, brandished like a weapon, launching a threat: “Try to touch it and I’ll kill you”. Chilling words addressed to an alleged rival in love, perhaps too close to an ex. The creepy face-to-face – as reported by the Adriatic courier – was staged on August 13 last morning in the bay, near the Bonetti beach establishment.
Dozens of bathers witnessed the scene in disbelief: no one expected such a high-tension confrontation between a man probably blinded by jealousy and the alleged rival in love. The concern of those present increased when the South American giant, all muscle, arrived on the beach with a large baseball bat, and then approached aggressively to his unsuspecting rival, an Ancona man in his forties, to warn him.
Without beating around the bush, the South American made it clear to the other man that he had to stay away from his former partner, from whom he would have recently separated. Evidently he did not willingly accept the end of the love story and does not tolerate that someone can even get close to his ex. “I know you talk badly about me around, you have to get it over with”, he would have shouted all’anconetano, according to what was told by the swimmers who witnessed the scene. In the end, the boys of the beach staff intervened to restore the man to calm.
