“He’s up there with KD and Kobe when it comes to talent”

In the NBA as in any sports league, talent alone is not enough to be legendary. Unlike Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant, a former scorer, for example, would not have been able to take full advantage of his skills according to a league veteran.

For one, his place in the top 10, or even the top 15 all-time, is gaining more and more consensus. For the other, the end of his career could allow him to reach the same historical spheres. At any rate, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant all observers agree thanks to one of their strengths: their talent. They are thus often mentioned among the best offensive weapons in history.

Despite their exceptional faculties, however, both had to work together hours to show the success that is theirs in the league. Enough to stand out from other former glories of similar gift, who have not been so successful in their careers. For Wilson Chandler, for example, a player presented the same level as the Black Mamba and the Slim Reaper: Tracy McGrady!

T-Mac is right up there with KD and Kobe when it comes to talent. He did not have the same longevity as them because of the injuries. But in his heyday, his impact and skills were as high as theirs.

During his bonus, which can be summed up in his time in Orlando, the seven-time All-Star actually posted averages worthy of those of Kobe and KD in their prime (28.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists).

But following his trade with the Rockets, his production has continued to decline, in particular because of repeated physical glitches. His last 4 seasons in the league have seen him turn to less than 10 points per game. Chandler had the opportunity to evolve with him during one of these campaigns, in New York, and has wonderful memories of it, according to his comment on Instagram.

I played with Mac at the Knicks, a good guy. I was a big fan.

For Wilson Chandler, Tracy McGrady deserves to appear with Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant in discussions of the greatest talents in history. A statement that should please many T-Mac fans.
