Haaland shoots Dortmund to win against Hoffenheim – Sport

Against TSG Hoffenheim, which shows a good game, the winning goal only succeeds in stoppage time.

Thanks to Erling Haaland’s late winning goal, Borussia Dortmund prevented another setback in the Bundesliga. BVB prevailed on Friday evening with a hard-fought 3-2 (0-0) win against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and climbed to the top of the table for at least one night. Haaland (90. + 1 minute) ensured Dortmund’s second win of the season in stoppage time, before the two 18-year-old Giovanni Reyna (48th) and Jude Bellingham (69th) met at Westphalia. Christoph Baumgartner (61.) and Munas Dabbur (90.) each equalized for Hoffenheim. Nevertheless, Dortmund only made limited reparations for the 1: 2 defeat a week earlier at SC Freiburg.

Both teams started wildly, TSG almost took the lead. Sebastian Rudy came much too easily to the cross on Andrej Kramaric (3rd), whose header hit the aluminum. In direct return, a BVB counterattack over Erling Haaland and Reyna (4th) ended in the arms of Hoffenheim’s goalkeeper Oliver Baumann. After that, BVB, who competed without Mats Hummels (problems with the patellar tendon), brought a little more calm into the game.

Tainer Marco Rose’s team kept the TSG busy and showed a clear improvement on the Freiburg game in a playful way. But the guests, for whom the new international David Raum started on the left side of defense, defended the advances well. For a long time, due to the pressure from Dortmund, it was not enough for relief attacks – until Baumgartner (39th) checked BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel completely free. Only a minute later, Dortmund’s Donyell painting failed at Baumann from an acute angle. Although the Hoffenheim team came out of the cabin at high speed again after half-time, Dortmund quickly achieved success. A strong combination via Marco Reus and Bellingham found Reyna, who hit the goal from 16 meters. However, this hardly impressed Hoffenheim. After BVB lost the ball in midfield, TSG quickly switched and Kramaric (59th) ran alone to Kobel, who saved in dire need. Minutes later, Baumgartner, whom Dennis Geiger served with a perfect pass, made it himself from an acute angle and gave Kobel no chance. The 1: 1 lasted only eight minutes.
