Peter Verbeke still has two weeks to sell some superfluous pawns. One of those files is that of Elias Cobbaut. Though finally something seems to be moving.
Elias Cobbaut has completely disappeared from the picture at RSC Anderlecht. The left-footed defender now and then trains with the A-squad, but is nowadays more often condemned to maintain his condition in a corner of the field.
The last news know that there is finally movement in the file. Some German clubs sniff Cobbaut. Although there is currently no concrete offer or effective negotiations.
It is therefore a difficult file. Vincent Kompany no longer needs Cobbaut, but Anderlecht want to recover part of the investment – the inhabitants of Brussels paid three million euros for the defender to KV Mechelen.
