Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Manchester United, after his steps in Real Madrid and Juventus. The club confirmed it on their social networks.

“We have always had good contact – with Cristiano Ronaldo -. I know that Bruno (Fernandes) also spoke with him. If he has to leave Juventus, he knows we are here,” Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer said in press conference this Friday. Now the news is confirmed.

The player had expressed his desire to leave Juve and Manchester City made contacts to hire him, but finally United, his first home in the Premier League, was able to make his arrival.

In his first stint at the club, Cristiano Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games. He arrived in the 2003-2004 season from Sporting Lisbon. It won three Premier Leagues, two League Cups, one FA Cup and two Community Shields, as well as a Champions League and a Club World Cup, both in 2008.

From there, Cristiano went to Real Madrid in 2009, in the most expensive transfer in history at the time, 100 million euros.

The club has not made official the amount of the transfer or for how long it signed Cristiano. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, one of the transfer market specialists, said that United will initially pay 15 million euros, plus another eight in variables. He also ruled out that Paul Pogba is involved in the business.

Earlier, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri had confirmed that CR7 had no intention of staying at the club.
