Bundesliga: Spahn plan for fuller football stadiums – domestic policy

Football in front of full ranks and packed fan curves?

Perhaps full football stadiums are not that far away – ALTHOUGH the incidences are increasing and the countries are tightening their corona measures again.

Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (41, CDU), of all people, gives hope to football fans.

The minister said on Tuesday to BILD: “I think one can do one thing: That people who have been vaccinated and recovered are counted differently than those who have been tested in terms of the number of participants. Without a doubt, significantly more people who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered can be there as spectators in a stadium – especially in the open air – than is otherwise possible. “

He could well imagine and that is now a way to go in the next few weeks.

Bavaria is already loosening up – a little

Bavaria’s sports clubs will in future be allowed to fill their stadiums and halls with spectators up to a capacity of 50 percent. A maximum of 25,000 spectators may be admitted, said Bavaria’s Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (64, CSU) at the end of last week.

However, only those who have been vaccinated, recovered or tested are allowed into the stadium (“3-G rule”).

“The absolute upper limit increases from 20,000 to 25,000,” says a statement from Herrmann. So far, a maximum of 35 percent utilization has applied.

The new regulation will apply from this weekend. With a special permit, more fans can enter the stadium for the home games of Bundesliga soccer clubs Greuther Fürth (Saturday) and Bayern Munich (Sunday).

Incidence will soon no longer play a role

The seven-day incidence rose again slightly. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Tuesday morning, it was 58.0.

BUT in the future, restrictions due to Corona should no longer apply within seven days from an incidence of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. Instead, among other things, the burden in hospitals is to be introduced as a new benchmark in the Infection Protection Act.

The Corona cabinet with Chancellor Angela Merkel (67, CDU) and the specialist ministers agreed on Monday, said government spokesman Steffen Seibert. However, there is no precise schedule for this yet.
