Bendika takes 17th place in the supersprint final of the World Biathlon World Championships

In the final, Bendika made three mistakes in the first two rifles, in the third she was flawless, but failed to close two more goals in the fourth line of fire. The athlete finished in 17th place, with the winning Marketa Davidova from the Czech Republic losing a minute and 10.3 seconds.

Davidova finished with 22 minutes and 43.5 seconds, Ukraine Julia Jim lost 2.9 seconds, and bronze for Irina Kazakevich, a representative of the Russian Biathlon Union (SBR), who was 6.6 seconds behind the leader.

Previously, in the 4.5 km qualifying race, Bendika made a total of four mistakes in two lines of fire and finished in 24th place.

The fastest in the competition of 46 participants was the European champion Polish Monika Hojnish-Starega. He finished in 12 minutes and 21.7 seconds, ahead of Bendik by 47.6 seconds.

Annija Keita Sabule did not close four goals in two shooting ranges and took the 42nd place. He lost two minutes and 16.9 seconds to his winner.

In the men’s competition, Edgars Mise, Aleksandrs Patrijuks and Roberts Slotiņš will overcome their qualifications.

The 30 best time owners qualify for the finals.

It has already been reported that Sanita Buliņa won the second place in the 7.5-kilometer super sprint junior competition at the World Biathlon Championships in the Czech Republic on Thursday.

On Saturday, women and men will compete in adult and junior competitions in sprint, and on Sunday – in chase.

The competition for the World Cup will take place until Sunday.
