Gerd Müller has died at the age of 75. He had Alzheimer’s disease. Top scorer in the history of Bayern Munich (570 goals in 605 games), he won four Bundesligas with the Bavarian club. Triple winner of the Champions League, world champion in 1974, European champion with the FRG in 1972 and Golden Ball in 1970, Gerd Müller has won almost everything in his career. Affected by Alzheimer’s disease, his wife said she no longer recognized him in the last years of his life. Bayern announced the death of the German on social media: “Bayern mourns Gerd Müller.
