Basketball – Weißenfels – Basketball: MBC no longer assigns Pantelic’s number – Sport

Weißenfels (dpa) – The Bundesliga basketball team Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels will no longer give Center Djordje Pantelic the number 12 on the back. The club announced on Thursday. The 36-year-old broke the 1000 points barrier in the BBL in the defeat in Vechta on Wednesday and will be bid farewell in the last game of the season on Sunday against Oldenburg. His shirt number will no longer be given as an appreciation of his performance. Only Tomas Grepl (14) and Sascha Leutloff (16) received this honor at MBC.

Pantelic played intermittently for the team from Saxony-Anhalt since 2011 and scored a total of 1003 points. On Sunday, all actors will wear the name Pantelic on their jerseys instead of their own.
