Basketball national player Lo extended at Alba Berlin

Berlin. The German national basketball player Maodo Lo will stay with Meister Alba Berlin for two more years. As the capital club announced, the Olympic participant’s contract was extended until the end of the 2022/2023 season.
The 28-year-old previously played for Brose Bamberg and Bayern Munich, where he was also German champion. The development player returned to Berlin a year ago.
“It’s very nice for me to be in my hometown, with my family and friends,” said the 28-year-old in the club’s announcement. “I hope that we will continue to play so successfully that we will also grow in the EuroLeague, gain more and more experience there and take the next steps as a team.”
From the point of view of Alba sporting director Himar Ojeda, Lo fits in perfectly with the team. “It was obvious how well he adapted to our style of play. Towards the end of the season he really showed what great potential he had, and he continued that at the Olympics with the national team,” said the Spaniard.
With the DBB selection Lo had qualified for the Olympic Games, where there was a clear defeat against European champions Slovenia in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
