“If you build it, it will come back.” Major League Baseball took the most famous phrase from the movie “The Man of Dreams” literally. The 1989 film, starring Kevin Kostner, is a cult for baseball fans, so much so that the set – near Dyersville, Iowa – has remained intact and has become a museum visited by many fans. Nearby, the American League has built a temporary 8,000-seat facility that on August 12 will host the game between the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees, initially scheduled for 2020 but then postponed for a year due to the pandemic.
