ball – European Challenger U16. Fleur Morel (Women’s Champagne Basket) gold medalist


The European Challenger U16, organized as part of the overhaul of international youth competitions carried out this summer by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), crowned a Champenoise. Fleur Morel, 16, who has just spent her first year with the Pôle France at Insep, won the tournament with the French team. The young back of Champagne Basket Féminin and Les Bleues were very successful in Helsinki, Finland, winning their four games against the host country, Bulgaria, Germany and Latvia.

This gold medal comes on top of those already won by John Patino, communications manager for Les Pétillantes, and Brice Latruffe, physical trainer for Champagne Basket. The two men accompanied the destinies of the French men’s U20 team, also winner of its European Challenger at the end of July.
