Deportivo Independiente Medellín fell 3-0 against América de Cali in a friendly game played in New Jersey. The scarlet team prevailed over the powerful one with goals from Jorge Segura, Joao Rodríguez and an own goal from Juan José Parra, who failed to finish the entire match due to injury.
The first half started with minutes of study, distribution of possession of the ball and approaches by América de Cali through the still ball. Medellín was looking for wing play and trying to get out with the ball, but could not find spaces to attack with solvency.
At minute 17, the scarlets went ahead through Jorge Segura, who took advantage of a short rejection by Juan José Parra, who failed to neutralize a free kick charge made by Daniel Hernández.
