The 50th edition of the Rallye de la Châtaigne which takes place this weekend has just been mourning.
At the start of this Saturday afternoon, a participant lost his life in an accident on the Larochemillay special, at a place called Montvernot. The information, given by the organizers, was confirmed by the gendarmes at the race headquarters in Autun.
We now know that the victim is Jean-Marc Plisson, who drove a Subaru Impreza STI. His co-pilot, Pascale Bonin, was rushed to a hospital in the region.
The special was stopped following this tragedy.
