At the invitation of the Automobile club de l’Ouest (ACO), five French Olympic medalists from the Tokyo Games are present on Saturday on the circuit of 24 hours of Le Mans for the big start of the 89th edition.

Champions and the public

After having thrilled France this summer during the Olympics behind closed doors, these champions will witness the return of the public to the stands of the Bugatti, one year after a 2020 edition completely closed to spectators.

The grand start of the 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most famous car races in the world, will be given at 4 p.m. by John Elkann, president of Ferrari.
