The 2017 World Judo Championships will be held in Budapest, Hungary from August 28th to September 3rd. The show has sixteen parts: eight for men and eight for women. 731 judo players from 126 countries participated in the competition. On the last day of the World Cup, a mixed country game appeared on the show for the first time. The Netherlands also participated in this new Olympic event. The Dutch Judo team will take 12 judo players to participate in the World Cup in Budapest, but Henk Grol retired at the last minute due to a knee injury. He will make a comeback after failing at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Juul Franssen had previously disagreed with Judo Bond Nederland and was not selected. In May 2017, she forced her to participate in the international competition again through simplified procedures, but she has not been able to do so since then.
