2 players cut including Cory Joseph

According to The Athletic, the Detroit Pistons have decided to cut two players: the veteran Cory joseph and the young David Sirvydis.

Not necessarily a surprise concerning the leader Joseph since his contract would become fully guaranteed tomorrow to the tune of $ 12.6 million, and Detroit will only pay $ 2.4 million. For Lithuanian Sirvydis, who has played very very little this season, he had 2 years of contract left for $ 3.3 million, but the 2022-23 season was not guaranteed and Detroit will only pay $ 1.5 million.

Cory Joseph arrived in Michigan during the season from Sacramento. He had been good and an interesting mentor to Killian Hayes. In 19 games for the Pistons he shot 12 points at 50.6%, 3.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.2 interceptions. No doubt he should quickly regain a franchise, but it is not won for the Lithuanian.
