The revelation of the clay court season is coming home! After a round of 16 on Wimbledon grass, Barbora Krejcikova is back on hard “home” in Prague. The surprise elimination of Petra Kvitova on day 1 makes the winner of Roland Garros the big favorite of the tournament. Tuesday, for her entry into the running, she took the upper hand on Isabella Shinikova, 217th worldwide, in just over an hour (6-2, 6-3). The Czech has only dropped her faceoff once. She will play the Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure for a place in quarters.
