Aguascalientes sees sport as a practice that encourages the integral development of youth and highlights the sports infrastructure of Aguascalientes at the national level.
It is a source of pride that Aguascalientes, thanks to its sports infrastructure and the warmth of its people, is part of the 2021 CONADE National Games, said Governor Martín Orozco when presiding over the inaugural event of these competitions at the Bicentennial Velodrome, the fastest in Mexico.
After wishing all the competitors success, the president pointed out that fostering the conditions so that athletes can continue training in the sporting field is a joint task of the governments, for which he reiterated his commitment to strengthen this activity in the girls, boys, adolescents and young people from Aguascalientes.
For his part, Manuel Aceves Rubio, head of the Institute of Sports in Aguascalientes (IDEA), announced that Aguascalientes serves as a sub-headquarters for the categories of cycling, modern pentathlon, badminton and bowling, receiving more than 2,000 visitors, including athletes , coaches, technicians, etc.
He stressed that Aguascalientes has hosted important sporting events in this administration, which has a great vision to promote sport as an activity that makes possible a healthy integral development in youth.
In addition, Adriana Martínez Campuzano, representing Ana Gabriela Guevara, head of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports; as well as Edgardo Hernández Chagoya, head of the Mexican Cycling Federation, agreed in thanking the state authorities for the support provided for these games to take place.
They pointed out that Aguascalientes has an excellent infrastructure for girls, boys and young people to compete and prepare for future competitions, predicting that the next world champions could emerge from these games.
