Action of new Liverpool player Ibrahima Konate can be witnessed immediately. Liverpool manager Juergen Kloppp confirmed Konate will debut in the first pre-season match.

Konate was brought to Anfield from RB Leipzig after being redeemed for 36 million pounds sterling. The 22-year-old centre-back agreed to be tied to a five-year contract until 2026.

Liverpool is currently undergoing a training center in Austria. The Reds are scheduled to play four pre-season games. Liverpool’s first match will be against Wacker Innsbruck and Stuttgart which will be played for 30 minutes each on Tuesday (21/7/2021).

“Tuesday,” Klopp said when asked when Ibrahima Konate could debut. “He’s had a good rest, had a reasonable pre-season so far, so yeah, he can play on Tuesday.”

“For Ibou, it’s important that he gets minutes quickly, that’s what pre-season is for,” continued the German manager to Liverpool’s official website.

Konate has spent a week training with his new team-mates at Liverpool. Klopp hopes Konate can quickly set up.

“Many people from outside will say that there are similarities between Leipzig and us and that is true, but after all there are differences and yes the similarities are important but the differences are more important because you see them in training.”

“There are some small habits where he does something different to what we are used to. So we are working on it but it’s not easy because it’s only been six days,” Klopp said of Ibrahima Konate.
