In September 2019, Apple Arcade has just launched and among its spearheads, we find What The Golf ?, a totally crazy golf game. Today, the game is offering a very significant update on mobile while it should arrive on Switch and PC soon.
What The Golf? it happened, at its output, to break the codes of sports games by playing the absurdity card to the full. You only have to look at the talk of the developers to be convinced of it as the members of Triband describe it as a title produced by people who hate golf for players who hate this discipline just as much.
So today launches, on Apple Arcade, the “A Hole New World” update. For the moment, only the mobile support accommodates this new content. The other platforms concerned, namely the Nintendo Switch and the PC, will receive this update in the coming weeks according to the developers.
In the summary of “A Hole New World”, we note the arrival of 50 brand new levels, as well as new game mechanics, to reach a total of 1000 additional holes to be completed according to the crazy rules imposed by the game.
The new trailer proves it: in What The Golf?, you don’t necessarily play the ball. Sometimes you control the hole and have to vacuum everything, even dwellings, in your path. At other times, your ball is substituted by a dog that must climb the walls. Or, quite simply, the principle is no longer to reach the hole but to impale donuts in it.
What The Golf? manages to come up with ideas as crazy as they are brilliant and always surprises with the absurdity of its mini-games. The game is already available on PC, since October 2019, on Switch, since May 2020, and on iOS. You can also find our test here.
