- Very good reception of the offer of aquatic activities and summer sports offered by the Sports service of the Sobrarbe region.
The activities include swimming courses for schoolchildren and adults, as well as days of promotion of less known sports that can be practiced in the Sobrarbe. Almost all the groups offered have been completed.
Swimming courses have been offered in the towns of Fiscal, Torla-Ordesa, Broto, Bielsa, Tierrantona and Labuerda Plan.
Activities are also being developed to learn about other less well-known disciplines such as paddle surfing, paddle tennis and archery.
The reception of the different activities offered by the Sports service of the regional entity is being very positive according to the registrations received in these months of June and July and it is expected that all the groups offered will be completed.
In response to the situation experienced in summer 2020 in which activities could not be carried out in the different swimming pools in the region, the Sports Department of the Region tried to generate a summer with an alternative offer made up of days in which It offered initiation to little-known sports that could also be practiced outdoors in our territory.
This year, after evaluating it in the information commission, it was decided to continue proposing this approach to these activities together with the development of traditional water activities. All the proposed activities have been programmed respecting the COVID protocols and regulations and the realization of small teaching groups has been prioritized at all times.
On the one hand, water activities have been offered for schoolchildren and adults in the swimming pools of Fiscal, Torla-Ordesa, Broto, Bielsa, Plan, Tierrantona and Labuerda.
. In FISCAL A total of 14 schoolchildren have participated, divided into 3 teaching groups.
. In TORLA A total of 12 schoolchildren divided into 3 teaching groups have participated.
. In BROTO a total of 12 schoolchildren divided into 3 teaching groups are expected to participate.
. In BIELSA A total of 24 schoolchildren divided into 4 teaching groups are participating.
. In PLAN A total of 16 schoolchildren divided into 3 teaching groups are expected to participate.
On Tierrantona and Labuerda all available places have been filled.
On the other hand, the following free and open activities have been offered:
BROTO: 8 teaching groups for paddle tennis during the months of July and August with a total of 44 places offered. All the groups for the month of July have already been completed although there are still places for the groups for August.
PADDLE SURF: 2 teaching groups for young people from 12 to 16 years old and 3 for schoolchildren from 8 to 12 years old.
All groups were completed with a total of 28 schoolchildren participating.
ARC SHOT: Thanks to the collaboration with the Sabiñánigo Archers Association, a total of 6 teaching groups will be offered during the days of August 2 to 5. The inscriptions have just opened and it is also expected to hang the poster of complete groups since it will work with small groups of 5 participants per monitor.
This activity includes transportation to the town of Sabiñánigo.
